Our Story

The leaders of Indian Creek Community Church (now Hope Chapel) had a vision to provide quality, God-honoring care for children as a ministry to working families. As a result, we began caring for children in 1992, just 7 years after the church began. Hope Academy is a ministry of Hope Chapel and is fully licensed by the state of Kansas.

What We Offer:

We know that early childhood is an important time in the development of your child. Our programs are designed to help child learn in a spiritually grounded environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through age-appropriate activities, children engage in both group and individual play that promotes creativity, cooperation, and independence. We provide a balance of structured lessons and free play, with weekly themes designed to expose children to a wide range of topics—from nature and community helpers to biblical stories and character development. These themed lessons are woven into fun, hands-on experiences that support early learning and introduce children to foundational values such as kindness, respect, and gratitude. Hope Grows Here.

Faith Based Learning:

Hope Academy helps lay a strong spiritual foundation by weaving Christian values into everyday activities in simple, meaningful ways. Through songs, stories, prayers, and hands-on learning, children are gently introduced to God’s love and the teachings of Jesus. By creating a loving and supportive environment children can begin to understand how faith can be apart of their daily lives. 

All Around Development:

We focus on the development of the whole child by nurturing both social and emotional growth alongside academic learning. Through play and positive interactions, children learn important skills like cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation. Our teachers create a safe and supportive environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued, helping them build confidence and healthy relationships. By learning to express their feelings, solve problems, and navigate social situations, children develop the emotional and social skills they need for future success in school and life.

Our teachers play a vital role in creating a loving, nurturing, and safe environment where children feel secure and cared for. They take the time to build trusting relationships with each child, offering consistent encouragement, gentle guidance, and lots of smiles and hugs. Classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to promote exploration and comfort, while routines provide structure and predictability. Teachers model kindness, patience, and respect, helping children feel emotionally safe to express themselves, try new things, and grow in confidence.
